The Serie A side won 1-0 at home against Monza thanks to a late goal from Stephan El Shaarawy. The match did not come without its controversy, though, as it was announced on Tuesday that the club will have to pay €10,000 because their ball boys reacted too slowly after the goal, resulting in the match being extended even further.

The acrimony did not end there, though, as coach Jose Mourinho was sent off for a gesture he made towards the Monza bench. After being shown the straight red card, the Portuguese coach will serve a one-match suspension, meaning he will be absent for next week's match against his former team Internazionale.
WHAT THEY SAID
The sports judge said in the announcement that the club will have to pay the fine, explaining: "Roma, way of strict liability, for having its own ball boys, after the goal was scored, systematically slowed down the regular resumption of the game, forcing the Referee to extend the injury time by two minutes."
