The Red Devils invested £72 million ($91m) of faith in the highly-rated frontman when luring him away from Serie A side Atalanta in the summer of 2023. He was acquired with one eye on the future, but was put under immediate pressure to deliver in the present.

Despite opening his account in Champions League competition, Hojlund had to wait until December 23 against Aston Villa before registering his first Premier League goal. He has since gone on to find the target against Tottenham, Wolves and West Ham in top-flight action – while also netting in an FA Cup clash with Newport County.
DID YOU KNOW?
Hojlund’s latest strike, which was drilled into the bottom corner against West Ham, came on his 21st birthday – with the Denmark international having plenty to celebrate. He has become the youngest player in United history to score in four successive Premier League games.
WHAT NEXT FOR HOJLUND?
Even five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo, who joined United for the first time back in 2003 while still in his teens, was unable to achieve that feat before turning 21. Hojlund will be hoping that there are many more to come for him as he starts to deliver on undoubted promise.
