Leeds have had an incredibly busy start to September, seeing four faces walk out of Elland Road.
On Monday, Laurens De Bock and Conor Shaughnessy departed on loan whilst Vurnon Anita also had his contract mutually terminated by the Yorkshire club.
The same eventuality also occurred for youngster Callum Nicell.
An incredibly promising player, the midfielder won Leeds’ Academy Player of the Year award in 2016/17 but hasn’t hit the same heights since.
It was an announcement that seemed to divide Leeds fans as a number were left with more questions than answers.
One suggested it was the biggest loss of the day, claiming he could have been a breakthrough player. Another individual asked why he wasn’t deemed good enough for the Whites when Premier League clubs had been sniffing around him.
Earlier this summer, Nicell appeared for Leicester U23s during a trial. A fellow supporter was concerned about where it had all gone wrong for the 19-year-old.
The teenager leaves having never featured for the first-team. He did make the squad under Garry Monk and Paul Heckingbottom but never played.
Here’s the best of the discussion.
