The England international winger was dropped by the Red Devils early in the 2023-24 campaign as Erik ten Hag began to ask questions of his attitude and application. It quickly became apparent that the 23-year-old forward would require a January transfer in order to get his career back on track, with his former employers at Dortmund happy to throw open their doors once more. WHAT SANCHO SAID
Sancho is hoping to rediscover a lost spark after retracing professional steps to Germany, with a welcome return to the training field being made. He will be hoping to prove his fitness as quickly as possible, with a “good to be back on the pitch” message sent following his well-documented struggles at Old Trafford.
WHAT NEXT FOR SANCHO?
Sancho has previously thrived at Dortmund, registering 50 goals and 64 assists through 137 appearances, and still has time on his side when it comes to fully unlocking the potential that convinced United to splash out £75 million ($96m) on securing his signature back in 2021.
