Everton fans are calling for their side’s end of year awards to be binned because of their poor season.
Everton’s annual end of season awards are coming under some considerable criticism from fans this week, who think hosting the event would be celebrating failure.
“The Dixies” will take place on Tuesday, May 1 with almost 1,300 tickets available to supporters, but it doesn’t seem like there will be too much support for the event.
Everton were supposed to break into the elite this season, and many fans and neutrals alike tipped the side to break up the “big six” thanks to signings like Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jordan Pickford.

Sigurdsson and Pickford are just about the only ones that can claim to have been successful signings though, even though the Icelandic international is now injured.
Ronald Koeman was sacked before Christmas, and fans are less than impressed by his replacement as Sam Allardyce has struggled to inspire with his rather safe brand of football.
The Toffees have found a little bit of form in recent months, climbing up to 9th, but fans don’t seem to be very happy about the prospect of celebrating a season that has failed to live up to expectations.
