Adams & Sargent fighting race against timeBoth players under rehabilitation ahead of Copa AmericaBerhalter provides update on both players WHAT HAPPENED?
Adams endured a challenging period due to a torn right hamstring that required surgery, limiting him to just one club match between March 2023 and March 13 of the following year. Despite a brief return to action with two matches for Bournemouth in March, back spasms further restricted his playing time, culminating in a brief 11-minute appearance on May 11. Although he is yet to be completely match-fit, Berhalter might give him some minutes ahead of the Copa America.

On the other hand, 24-year-old forward Sargent, who showcased his scoring prowess with 16 goals in 26 league games for Norwich City in England's second tier, has come out second best in the race against time to recover completely from the foot injury. Hence, he will not be able to participate in the forthcoming match against Brazil.
WHAT BERHALTER SAID
Speaking to reporters, Berhlater said: "Tyler will be available to play limited minutes and my guess is it's under 45 minutes that he's able to play. (Whereas), Josh is progressing well. (But) he won't take part in this game."
