Everton fans have been pleading with Marco Silva to finally tie FC Barcelona outcast Andre Gomes to a permanent Toffees transfer.
Gomes has been a star at Goodison Park since making his Premier League debut in October, playing 82 minutes during his side’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old has contested every one of the Blue’s league matches since, earning the admiration of the Goodison Park faithful, who have been losing it over Marco Silva’s recent comments.
Speaking to Sky Sports News ahead of Monday night’s draw with Watford, the 41-year-old noted: “I think at first, I agree, he [Gomes] is doing very well.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
“He’s enjoyed his first two months but let’s see what we can do. We are working on that, I don’t know if I have [an] answer in one week or two weeks.
“It is not something that it is in our hands. The best scenario to look at is – it is not just in our hands as a club, not just in the hands of Andre, there is a third party as well. Barcelona are included, let’s see when we can talk about the situation.”
It has been reported before that Barcelona and Everton did not agree on including an option to buy in the loan-deal, which saw Gomes move to England alongside left-back Lucas Digne and Colombian centre-half Yerry Mina.
Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the playmaker’s signature, leaving these fans struggling to contain themselves at the prospect of missing out.
